University of Notre Dame cable television content
As part of our agreement with Comcast Communications for cable television at Notre Dame, ten channels have been provided to insert our own programming. Here is a summary of the ten ND channels and the current content.
Channel 2 - The information channel, also known as the 'barker' channel, can be found on channel 2 on the Notre Dame cable TV lineup. The information displayed on channel 2 covers ND weather forecasts, housing news, OIT services and a variety of on-campus events.
Channel 4 - RTN, Russian language programming.
Channel 13 - Special events from around campus, including guest lectures, workshops, ND Forum, and Commencement ceremonies. When special events are not in progress, Doppler Radar from WNDU is displayed.
Channel 14 - SCOLA-4 international news programming from country's around the Middle East and the Pacific Rim. Additional programming info can be found here - http://www.scola.org/
Channel 18 - Deutsche Welle, German language programming.
Channel 20 - RAI, Italian language programming.
Channel 21 - TV5, French language programming.
Channel 39 - Campus information channel, new programming to be determined.
Channel 43 - EWTN, Eternal Word Television Network, Global Catholic Network.
Channel 53 - NDtv student television station broadcasting from Washington Hall. www.ndtv.net
Cable TV programming changes
- WTTW has been removed from channel 39 and will be replaced with new programming.
Requests for programming channels should be sent by email to videosrv@nd.edu these will compiled and forwarded to the campus CATV Committee.
