Oracle Calendar for Pocket PC

Oracle Calendar is currently not compatible with new Pocket PC devices

  1. You will need to have install Active Sync 3.7 before you can install the Oracle Calendar for Pocket PC.
  2. Download the Oracle Calendar Client for Pocket PC v. 9.0.4.2. and double click the file to start the installer.
  3. On the Welcome screen, click Next.

  4. For the destination folder allow the recommended settings and click Next.
  5. Choose the Custom, and choose This feature, and all sub features to be installed on local hard drive. Do this for both Local and Remote Files.

  6. Click Next and click Install.

  7. When you plug your Pocket PC into the cradle next time, it will install the files to communicate with Oracle Calendar. Press OK.

  8. To configure the Oracle Calendar click on Settings. The Oracle Calendar/CorporateTime type your information in, similar to the following::
    User: John Smith
    Password: (corporate time password)
    Server: corporatetime.nd.edu
    Node: production

  9. Then click on the plus sign by the Calendar, then select Rules, and select Replace mobile items with the calendar server items on the down arrow. Next, repeat this with Tasks. Click OK.

  10. Then click Finish.
  11. If you have a current partnership with your Pocket PC, then you will need to delete it. Open your Active Sync, and then click on File, Delete Partnership. Once you have deleted the partnership you will have a Guest Partnership appear in the Active Sync, which will be an indication that your partnership has been deleted successfully.

  12. Then you will get a (setup wizard for Set Up a Partnership), click on Standard Partnership, and then Next.

  13. Select “Synchronize with this desktop computer”, and click Next.

  14. Type in the given name of the device, and click Next.

  15. For both Calendar and Tasks choose “Oracle Calendar” from the drop down list and click Next.

  16. Then verify Calendar and Tasks are setup for Oracle Calendar and click Next.

  17. Click Finish.
  18. Place the Pocket PC back into the cradle. You will now see the files for Oracle Calendar is installing the Pocket PC. Follow the instructions on the screen and click ok.

  19. Another screen you might see is the Replace and Combine window. Just verify that Combine the item on my device with the items on the computer is chosen, and click OK.

  20. Now you will see the file transfer screen on your computer indicating that your Pocket PC is uploading your information from CorporateTime Server. Once your files are done uploading to your Pocket PC, you have successfully installed CorpSync for your Pocket PC.

Note: The transfer rate of files could take a long time due to how much data you might have store on your Oracle Calendar/CorporateTime account.
