Accessing your Notre Dame Exchange Email, Contacts, & Calendar on your Palm Treo with VersaMail

Note: The OIT strongly recommends that you configure your smartphone to require a passcode in order to access the phone if you use your smartphone to access or read any University information.

  1. On your Treo, locate VersaMail in the System folder.
  2. In the menu, go to the Accounts tab, the select Account Setup.
  3. Select New.
  4. Name the account "work" or "Notre Dame."
  5. Select “Exchange Active Sync” for the Mail Service.  Click Next.
  6. Type in your NetID/e-mail username (e.g., asmith) and your Notre Dame password.  Click NEXT.
  7. Type in your Notre Dame e-mail address (e.g., asmith@nd.edu) and owa.nd.edu for the Mail Server.
  8. Run Test Settings.  If successful a message saying “Success!!! Accessed Server” will appear.

Now you can check your email as you normally would.
