POSTING VACATION & OUT OF THE OFFICE NOTICES
Planning a vacation for later this year? Or just going to be out of the office for a morning doctor's appointment? We posted recommendations about how to post vacation and out of the office notices in your calendar and how to let your co-workers know that you'll be out. You can find them online at: http://oit.nd.edu/exchange/vacations.shtml
SAVING YOUR OLD CORPORATETIME INFORMATION
CorporateTime will eventually be turned off, so if you want to save your calendar information from prior to August 1, 2007, you can follow the instructions at: http://oit.nd.edu/exchange/importoldctime.shtml
We will send more reminders once the University sets the date to turn CorporateTime off.
DEPARTMENTAL ACCOUNTS
Most departmental email accounts are still on the legacy system. The OIT is currently working on a plan to move these accounts over to Exchange sometime early this semester. More details will be available soon.
SCHEDULING RECURRING MEETINGS
If you want to schedule multiple days for a meeting, define a recurrence pattern for the meeting. Instructions for doing so are available in the Quick Reference Guides available at http://oit.nd.edu/exchange/training.shtml#qrg. Remember, changes to individual occurrences will break the pattern which means updates to the series will NOT carry over to the broken instances. The exception to this is changes to the date, time or location for the entire series. That change will reset the recurrence and remove any changes done to an individual occurrence.
QUESTIONS?
Many questions can be answered by reviewing the information found on the OIT Exchange web site at http://oit.nd.edu/exchange. The OIT has also created Quick Reference Guides that will walk you through these types of questions, as well as many other common calendaring functions. Quick reference guides are available for Outlook 2007, Outlook 2003, Entourage 2008, OWA with IE, and OWA with other web browsers, and you can find them all at: http://oit.nd.edu/exchange/training.shtml#qrg
Don't forget! You can still register for hands-on training by visiting http://endeavor.nd.edu. Courses are available for Outlook and Entourage, as well as for people who act as a delegate for others or those who do not. Information how how to register for classes can be found at http://hr.nd.edu/prodevelopment/Endeavor.shtml If you have questions about training, please contact training@nd.edu or call 1-7227.
If you need further assistance, please contact your departmental IT support staff or the OIT Help Desk at 574-631-8111 or oithelp@nd.edu.
