How do I change my local machine password?

After you change your password on the web at: https://accounts.nd.edu/password, you may need to also update your local machine password.

To change the password on your local Windows XP machine:

1. On your Start menu, select Control Panel.
2. From the Control Panel select, User Accounts.
   
3. In the User Account dialog, click on your personal user account.
   
4. Next, choose Change Password.
   
5. Type your old password in the Old password field.
   Type your new password in the New password field.
   Type your new password AGAIN in the Confirm password field.
   
6. Click the Change Password button.
