Update on Windows Vista Support for Students - 5/8/07

The OIT now offers support for students who use Windows Vista on their computers. The recommended version of Windows Vista for student use is Ultimate Edition since it offers more features and functionality. Other versions of Windows Vista, such as Home and Business Editions, will work on the Notre Dame network. Windows Vista Ultimate Edition will be available through the OIT Computer Store soon; we are awaiting the arrival of the campus license media from the vendor. You will be able to purchase the upgrade version Windows Vista Ultimate Edition through the OIT Computer Store for approximately $45.

The version of Windows Vista sold through the OIT Computer Store will also allow you perform an upgrade from Windows XP or other editions of Windows Vista.
