Connecting to ND-Secure Wireless on Blackberry Devices 4.2 or Newer
These instructions are for ND Students, Faculty, and Staff users that want to connect their Blackberry devices to the Notre Dame wireless network.
- Select the Connections Manager Utility on the Blackberry Device and open the utility to bring up the pop-up menu.

- Scroll down and select Set Up Wi-Fi Network.

- Scroll to select Next.

- Scroll down to select Manually Add Network.

- Enter ND-secure (make sure to capitalize the ND) into the “Network Name (SSID):” text box.

- Click on Security Type: to display the menu with security choices. Select PEAP as the security type.

- On the following page, enter the following information:
- User name: NetID (e.g., asmith)
- User Password: your NetID Password
- CA Certificate: click to display pop-up menu and select Equifax Secure Certificate Authority
(There are Multiple Certificate options from Equifax, be sure to select the exact match!) - Leave the rest of the fields as defaults
- Click on Connect to continue

- The Blackberry device should show a “connecting…” and once the connection is successful, it will display a page with the option to save the Wi-Fi Network as a Profile. Scroll down and click the Next button to continue.

- The next screen will display a Success message indicating that ND-secure was configured and saved. Scroll down and click Finish to continue. Once back to the home screen, the ND-secure SSID should be displayed indicating the Blackberry is now connected to the Notre Dame wireless network.

You can then use the wireless network as you normally would. If you need assistance connecting to ND-secure with a Blackerry Device, please contact either your departmental IT support staff or the OIT Help Desk at 574-631-8111.
