Joining ND-secure on the iPhone/iPod Touch
- Apple’s iPhone and iTouch support the ND-secure network when running version 2.0 or later of the iPhone/iPod Touch firmware. To do join ND-secure, first choose the Settings icon on the home screen, as shown below:

- Next, choose the Wi-Fi item from the settings screen, as shown below:

- If you have previously registered your iPhone/iPod Touch on the NOMAD network, choose NOMAD from the list of available Wi-Fi networks. Tap the blue arrow, then tap Forget this Network.
- Turn the iPhone off and back on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button on top for a few seconds until a red slider appears. Then drag the slider. Then press the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears to turn your iPhone back on.
- At the Home screen, return again to the Settings screen and choose Wi-Fi.
- Choose ND-secure from the list of available Wi-Fi Networks, as shown below:

- Enter your NetID (e.g., asmith) and password in the Enter Password screen and select the Join button, as shown below:

- You will now be prompted with a security certificate. Select Accept to proceed.

- Once your iPhone joins the ND-secure network, you will automatically be taken back to the list of available Wi-Fi networks, and there will be a check next to ND-secure.

You can now use the wireless network as you normally would. If you need assistance connecting your iPhone/iPod Touch to the ND-secure network, please contact either your departmental IT support staff or the OIT Help Desk at 574-631-8111.
