Central Notre Dame Email Service
Maintenance This Friday 7/18 & Saturday 7/19

DESCRIPTION:

To address email performance issues that many have experienced recently, the OIT will apply additional upgrades to the servers that run the central Notre Dame email service on Friday and Saturday evening. 
The application of this patch will cause email to be unavailable for a very brief time. 

No email messages will be lost during this maintenance.

MAINTENANCE DATE & TIME:

Friday, July 18, 2008              8:00 pm – 8:10 pm
Saturday, July 19, 2008          8:00 pm – 8:10 pm

 

IMPLICATION OF THIS MAINTENANCE:

The central Notre Dame email service will be unavailable for approximately 10 minutes each day during this maintenance. 
No email messages will be lost during this maintenance.

WHO IS AFFECTED:

All central Notre Dame email service users.
Users of Exchange and Google mail will NOT be affected by this maintenance.

WHAT IS BEING DONE:

The OIT will apply vendor upgrades to the mail servers to address the email issues that users have recently experienced.
