Internet Slowness

The slow Internet performance that was experienced yesterday morning was caused by a compromised workstation which was consuming excessive bandwidth. Network engineers located the host and removed it from the network, which resulted in Internet performance being restored to normal.

The Internet slowness issues we saw earlier today have been resolved.

Users have reported extremely slow internet performance when accessing websites off campus, and off campus users are also experiencing poor performance when accessing on campus resources. Administrators have been notified and are working to resolve it quickly.
