  • assemble various takes into a single recording
  • extend, shorten, re-order and layer material
  • sequence material for duplication

We use both single and multi-camera setups to video record special events with professional expertise.

Video Recording - Single Camera

Our hourly camcorder and broadcast-quality camera fees include the operation of camera and two audio sources) a combination of microphones or house feed, if available). Additional equipment and labor charges for more complicated audio and lighting setups can be quoted on a case-by-case basis. There is a separate charge for each videotape used, based on the type of individual tape.

Rates

Camcorder
(VHS or DV)...$70/hr.

Broadcast-quality camera
(S-VHS or DVCPRO)..$100/hr.

Digital video cassettes (high resolution)

DVCPRO-60..$25 each
DVCPRO-90..$35 each
DVCPRO-120..$45 each

Broadcast quality VHS and S-VHS video cassettes

Multi-camera
For large events, we can provide multiple camera production. A video switcher is also available for live transitions between cameras. Multi-camera service includes the operation of cameras, a video switcher, and an audio board and uses available lighting. If your location does not have sufficient lighting to produce a quality video, special lighting and power arrangements may be necessary. For multi-camera events, there is an additional labor charge for setup and teardown.

Multi-camera production is quoted on an individual basis.

Video Editing

After recording that special event, you may want professional editing as well. Or you may need other videos edited. Multimedia services can provide both linear editing and non-linear editing, plus video digitizing.

Linear Editing:
Linear editing is a process of building a video by adding scenes in sequence. This is our simplest form of editing. With the use of standard video editing equipment, we can assemble multiple clips together, add titles, or change audio. The only transition possible between clips using linear editing is a cut, an instantaneous change from one picture to the next.

Linear Editing...$50/hr.

Non-linear editing:
Our new Media 100 editing system allows us to do advanced video editing or create digital files for use in multimedia presentations, Web delivery, and permanent storage of archival materials. The Media 100 system will compile multiple clips, add titles, and change audio like our linear editing system, but with more flexibility and features. Options include a wide range of transitions between scenes and many special effects, adding interest to the final product.

Nonlinear editing...$100/hr.
Video digitizing...$20/hr.
