What is Print@ND (Pharos)?
Print@ND (Pharos) is a system that has been implemented in most OIT-administered computer clusters, Hesburgh and the branch libraries, as well as a few offices around campus. This system helps administer printing by keeping track of how much an individual prints.

Printing Quotas for Notre Dame Students
A 12-month printing quota is provided to each Notre Dame student beginning with the fall academic semester.
Printing Quotas for a 12-month period:
- Undergraduate and students in the professions, including Law & MBA students will receive 1,000 sheets.
- Graduate students will receive 3,000 sheets.
The above quotas are equivalent to $.10 per page.
Adjustments to Printing Quotas
All students may acquire additional printing quotas by paying $.10 per page.
Students may request reimbursement of their printing quotas in the event of printer/copier malfunctions, lost print jobs or torn sheets. E-mail cluscons@nd.edu to request a reimbursement.
Printing quotas on occasion may be adjusted free of charge when dictated by specific academic course requirements. However, any free-of-charge adjustment REQUIRES faculty sponsorship.
Process for Changing Printing Quotas
- Students desiring a change in their print quotas should e-mail their requests to cluscons@nd.edu or stop by the OIT Educational Technologies Services counter in 115 DeBartolo between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Requests must be accompanied by faculty approval, either via an e-mail or letter from a sponsoring faculty member.
