Publishing a Course/Class Web Site

Faculty and their assistant have several choices that may be appropriate for publishing a course/class web site. Each option has its own benefits. A brief overview of the functionality that each option offers is located below.
- Concourse (formerly WebCT Vista) - Vista is a web-based system accessible from any Internet connection that provides content and tools for structure, interactivity, and management of a course. It includes the following features:
- Publishing syllabi
- Managing and posting grades
- Providing a list of web links
- Distributing files (e.g., PowerPoint, PDF, etc.)
- Create, administer, and grade online quizzes
- Online discussions
- Conduct a survey
- Electronic submission of assignments
- Courseware in AFS (e.g., I: drive)
- All courseware folders are accessible via the web from a Notre Dame network connection.
- Publishing syllabi

- Personal or Departmental web site - Personal or departmental web sites can be open to the entire Internet or secured to a select group of people and/or network location.
