How secure is WebEx?
WebEx is the only on-demand online collaboration service provider to have earned both WebTrust and SAS70 certification, giving you the highest levels of security possible.
Site security provides customer-defined services admission, management, and access. This level of security controls password protection, branded-site access, and visibility of scheduled meetings, as set by your meeting administrators.
Meeting security grants attendee privileges, feature access, expulsion, and communication. The host (presenter) can regulate the various attendee access levels, including in-meeting rights, the ability to save or print documents, chat, and other options.
Network security includes document encryption, Secure-Socket Layer (SSL), intrusion control, and non-persistent data. Admission to sessions without meeting manager authentication is prohibited. Documents are encrypted at this level via AES.
3rd party audits and certifications are conducted by prestigious outside institutions, including WebTrust (AICPA Audit), SAS-70 Type II (AICPA Audit), and a SSL 128 Bit Certificate from VeriSign. They comply with security standards and undergo rigorous annual audits by these institutions.
