Minimum Computer Requirements for Windows Vista

Microsoft has published minimum requirements for a computer to run Windows Vista. According to initial testing results, the Notre Dame Windows Vista testing team recommends the following MINIMUM computer specifications to upgrade a computer to Windows Vista:
- at least a 2.0 GHz Pentium 4 (or compatible) processor
- 1 GB of RAM or higher
- 80 GB hard disk or higher
- 64 MB video RAM or higher
Note! When running Windows Vista, the more RAM and video RAM you have available, the better your experience will be.
