Senior Director, ND Studios and Teaching & Learning Technologies

In this role, Dan Skendzel is responsible for Registrar classroom audio and video technologies, academic technologies and media production from the Rex and Alice A. Martin Media Center. Specific duties include leading strategic planning, developing staff members and liaising with key campus partner areas on the delivery of media production and streaming, audiovisual design, maintenance and support, learning management and educational technology services.

Previous to his role in the OIT, Dan launched Fighting Irish Media (FIM) in 2011 and oversaw athletics storytelling and department branding. In 2009, Dan participated in a campus leadership rotation program completing projects in Human Resources, Athletics and General Counsel's Office over a two-year span. Dan also spent eight years prior to that in the Office of Business Operations overseeing Administrative Services, consisting of Risk Management and Safety, Warehouse & Delivery, Transportation, Aviation and Remote Campus Operations.

Dan enjoys family time with his wife, Carrie, and their four children, Ted, Jeanette, Nathan and Maureen. He also enjoys camping, triathlons and cross-country skiing.
