Jane Livingston has more than 20 years of leadership success supporting all aspects of technology in higher education. Jane joined the University of Notre Dame in the summer of 2021. She is passionate about growing and fostering strong, diverse teams that innovate in complex, matrixed environments. Jane works to build relationships and partner across organizational lines to create solutions that reflect the needs of the whole university. She is focused on securing technical resources, digital transformation, workforce development, and sustaining operational excellence.
Previously Jane served as associate vice president and CIO at Florida State University. Before FSU, Jane served in multiple leadership positions at Yale University Information Technology Services and was awarded the 2017 Linda Lorimer Award for distinguished service. At Yale, Jane was also the executive sponsor of Yale’s Women in Technology program and IT’s Climate, Culture and Inclusion Task Force.
Jane lives in South Bend with her husband Bert and their two cats. She enjoys all the time she can spend with her two children, Mia Livingston-Edwards and Rowan Lott, who both live in Portland Oregon. Mia is married to Xander and they have two cats and their first house. Rowan is a student at Lewis and Clark College studying international affairs.
