The OIT Help Desk provides prompt, courteous, and informed IT support to currently affiliated members of the ND community, especially in the following areas:

  • Computer Setup & Troubleshooting

Special Hours

Due to the suspension of all in-person classes, the Help Desk is temporarily expanding our hours to assist those who need help adapting to new and different technology tools to support instructional continuity and other essential services for the university.  You can reach us via telephone (574-631-8111), email (oithelp@nd.edu) or chat (help.nd.edu) at these times:

  • Monday - Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • (Closed Wednesdays 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. for Staff Meetings)

At this time our walk-in counter in 115 DeBartolo Hall will be closed until further notice. To facilitate social distancing, all Help Desk staff will be working remotely and can be reached using the options listed above.

  • Monday - Thursday: 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. 
  • Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: noon - 8:00 p.m.

Hesburgh Library IT Outpost:  Located in the Hesburgh Library at the Tech Commons Help Desk on the second floor.  

  • Sunday - Thursday: 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

We remain open on Labor Day holidays, when classes are in session, while most campus offices are closed.  We are closed for other university holidays.

Emergency Issues When the Help Desk is Closed

If an OIT service experiences an outage outside OIT Help Desk hours, please call (574) 631-8111 and follow the prompts to report a service outage.
