IT Maintenance Begins on 6-5-21

Beginning Saturday, June 5 at 8:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. (ET) Sunday, June 6, 2021, Office of Information Technologies (OIT) systems engineers will perform a variety of planned maintenance activities and upgrades.

The Oracle databases servicing Banner, ODS, and Application Manager (AppWorx) will be upgraded to the latest version. This process is expected to take up to 24 hours and will result in a longer than normal maintenance window for systems dependent on these databases. There will also be Banner application upgrades required for major projects currently underway.

Don’t Lose Access to Your ND Files After You Graduate

Congratulations graduate! As you prepare for your graduation, be sure to review these important guidelines to maintain access to important documents, files and resources.

Your Notre Dame NetID will be deactivated 60 days after you graduate. Be sure to transfer any of these resources you want to keep from your Notre Dame student account to a personal account—such as your new Notre Dame alumni account—before the deactivation date.

On Wednesday, March 24, the series featured a special guest from a very unique location. Astronaut Mike Hopkins, father of Notre Dame student Lucas Hopkins, was aboard the International Space Station traveling approximately 250 miles above the earth’s surface when the conversation took place.

New Zoom Recordings Retention Plan Announced

The Office of Information Technologies (OIT) Zoom administrators have a new Zoom recordings retention plan in place that will affect all recordings stored in the Zoom cloud (zoom.nd.edu).

The new plan procedure states that any recording over 365 days old stored in the Zoom cloud will be deleted unless it is moved to Panopto. This is an ongoing process and will affect all recordings as they reach their deletion date.
