Forms & Surveys
The OIT supports several tools that provide the ability to create online forms and receive data for completed forms electronically. These services can improve processes, simplify the collection of data, and reduce printing costs.
Google Forms is a simple form/survey tool with some powerful benefits. You can add collaborators when building your form, port your responses directly into Google Sheets, shuffle questions, add images, use page branching and even question skip logic. If you need to create a quick or simple survey, this may be the perfect tool for you. You can use Google Forms to gather information from anyone, anywhere. Google Forms is part of the Google Suite and available (at no cost) to anyone associated with the University.
Qualtrics is a powerful online survey tool that provides sophisticated data analysis, complex questions, multi-part/branching, simple workflow, complicated distribution, integrated reporting or even the very simple surveys and forms. Qualtrics is also an excellent solution when you need an electronic signature, an approval process or basic workflow. Qualtrics is available (at no cost) to anyone associated with the University and can be used to survey anyone, anywhere.
The OIT recommends OnBase as the right solution when you need to work with highly sensitive information, complex approvals/workflows, high volume, significant institutional/archival importance (e.g., academic student records). Many departments already use OnBase to manage their information processes. The OIT provides OnBase consultation and implementation services.
