Student Employment Program

Notre Dame Studios partners with the Fighting Irish Agency to offer a comprehensive Student Employment Program for undergraduates and graduate students interested in working in live production roles. No prior media experience is required and all training is provided.

Student Media Specializations

Student employees will have opportunities for hands-on experience in live production, campus production and post-production and engineering.

Live Production

Examples of live production events include Fighting Irish Agency athletic broadcasts on ESPN, ACC Network, and NBC Sports, as well as stadium and arena video board productions, ND Studios live streaming of campus performances and events. Positions include announcing, camera, graphics, audio, replay, and other control room roles.

Campus Production and Post-Production

Campus production could include shooting campus b-roll, studio productions, and on-location events to be used in video projects. You will learn the elements of camera, lighting, and sound to convey a story. The Post-production track covers the skills necessary to bring a project from the completion of a shoot to the creation and delivery of the final video. Projects could include editing hype videos, game highlights, academic lectures, podcasts and promotional and event videos.

Engineering

This track covers all engineering and technical support for broadcast and live stream media production of events across campus. You will have an opportunity to work alongside skilled engineers utilizing the technology featured in the Rex and Alice A. Media Center, which is leading the way into the future of broadcasting. If you love high tech, this is the track for you.

Student Advancement

Notre Dame Studios offers students seminars and career development sessions throughout the academic year, hosting industry leaders and broadcast professionals who share their career paths and expertise. There are also opportunities to learn about internships and job opportunities with leading broadcast and media production companies.
