Zoom Security Requirement Postponed

Zoom has postponed the required security enhancement originally scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 27 until sometime in November. Once in place, any meeting that doesn't contain a passcode or waiting room will automatically be assigned a waiting room.

The OIT recommends you review your scheduled meetings without passcodes before November so you can update them. You can do so by logging into the Zoom web portal (zoom.nd.edu). These meetings are listed in the Meetings tab and indicated by a red exclamation point with a circle around it. Just follow these guidelines for adding a passcode or waiting room to those meetings:…

Zoom Security Requirement Begins 9-27-20

Zoom continues its efforts to enhance security for all meetings and classes. Beginning Sunday, Sept. 27, all meeting sessions will require a passcode or waiting room to prevent uninvited participants from attending a meeting or class.

On this date, any meeting session that does not contain a passcode or waiting room will automatically be assigned a waiting room.
