IT Fellows Associates

Are you a recent or soon to be college graduate, interested in a technology career, but aren't sure what area?

The ND IT Fellows Program offers four recent graduates the opportunity to grow their careers in the Office of Information Technology (OIT). Selected participants will perform meaningful work that is connected to ND IT priorities, strategies, and mission. You will work alongside professionals in various areas of IT as you gain experience managing projects on your own. The University of Notre Dame has a broad, international presence, and you will have the opportunity to work for a week in our London Global Gateway.

The program is a two-year, limited-term position consisting of three sequential eight-month rotational assignments in ND IT departments that align with each participant's skills and career aspirations.

  • Video / AV / Virtual Events Work

  • Cloud Platform Engineering

IT Fellows Associates are placed int their first rotation and can elect at least one rotation within the Office of Information Technology. Example rotations and projects:

  • ServiceNow Team: Human Resources Service Delivery
  • BI Team: EDW Student Admissions Data Project
  • IT Strategy and Transformation: Communications strategy, website development, and ITSM
  • Information Security: Risk Assessment 

Who: College graduates who would like to explore a career in IT. 

What: 2 year, limited term program with three, 8-month rotations

Where: Various departments within the Office of Information Technology. We’ll provide you with all the training you will need to be successful.

When: Positions start in late spring (May/June)

Why: Prepare for future academic work in IT with deep dive rotations 

Hours: 40 hrs/week; Occasional evenings and weekends.

Eligibility: IT Fellows Associates are required to have a recent or upcoming degree from a 4-year institution.

  • Year One
    • January: Call for Applications
    • February: Applications close
    • March: Selected applicants are invited to interview
    • Late April: Offers extended
    • June: 1st Rotation Begins
  • Year Two
    • January: Potential two-week rotation in a Global Gateway
    • March: 2nd Rotation Begins
    • June: Potential two-week rotation in a Global Gateway
    • October: 3rd Rotation begins
    • May: Program ends
