IT Fellows Support Technicians

 IT Fellows Support Technicians will learn, develop and utilize transferable skills for both technology-based employment and higher education professional opportunities. The experience will help build computing skills and understanding of technology ecosystems, but also foster critical, higher-order, problem-solving and communication skills.

Who: High school graduates who would like to explore a career in IT. 

What: 2 year, limited term program with three, 8-month rotations

Where: Various departments within the Office of Information Technology. We’ll provide you with all the training you will need to be successful.

When: Positions start in June of each year. Rotations begin in June, March and October.

Why: Prepare for future academic work in IT with deep dive rotations 

Hours: 40 hrs/week; Occasional evenings and weekends.

Eligibility: IT Fellows Associates are required to have a recent or upcoming degree from a high school.

What's next: High performers may be able to obtain permanent positions in Enhanced Technology Partnerships, Audio Visual Technologies in the classroom, and the Help Desk based on need and job availability.

Additional benefit: Full-time and part-time staff at Notre Dame can earn an associate degree of applied science in business administration or a business administration technical certificate through Ivy Tech Community College free of charge. IT Fellows Support Technicians are placed int their first rotation in the Help Desk and can elect at least one rotation within the Office of Information Technology. Example rotations:

  • Enhanced Technology Partnerships

    • June: 1st Rotation Begins

    • March: 2nd Rotation Begins
    • October: 3rd Rotation begins
    • May: Program ends
