What an IT internship looks like

An internship is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work with the Office of Information Technology. You will have the opportunity to explore an area or IT, develop competencies and learn new skills. Each area of OIT is different, so tasks, projects and responsibilities will vary.

What you can expect

All interns can expect to have a staff mentor on their team. Your supervisor will schedule regular 1:1 meetings with you to help keep you on track, delegate tasks and coach you as a member of the team. Some teams will include you on additional meetings to keep up to date on project work and team needs.
